Happy Grand re-opening to us! Our new webpage is much brighter and easier to navigate. Plus, we are having a great sale! Everything in our store is 20% off! That’s a big deal!
This is such a crazy fun idea! I’m so on this!
We’ve all seen and many have taken part in various creative challenges. I propose a new one–with a geek theme!
You can use YOUR OWN art medium to fulfill these, you just have to have fun! All of these will have a geeky theme, though some will be abstract enough for many interpretations. You’re artists, so be inspired and take these as a way to challenge yourselves to try something you might not have tried before. Not all of your projects will be perfect, but that’s okay! As long as you are challenging yourself and doing your best, you’ll beat this challenge.
Here we go.
You’ll have one week to finish each challenge. Once you’ve finished your artwork, post a photo online–you can use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Deviantart, or whatever platform you like to use. Feel free to come back here and comment with a link to your post…

Coming up January 5th-11th, myself and other talented crafters are going to be in a Sweetheart auction. Who doesn’t love love?! Here is a sneak peak at what we will have available for bids in the auction.
First up, we will have two little canvas coin purses. One has Han Solo and Princess Leia on it. The other coin purse has the beautiful snippet from Katniss and Peeta. ::Swoon::
Finally, I saved my favorite for last! I am utterly obsessed with Sweeney Todd. This set is my little version of the lovely couple; Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett.
Stay turned for auction information!

I kinda love Halloween. I always have. I was lucky to have a mom who made all my costumes, and made them awesomely. If she ever bought a store costume, she would always enhance it. Definitely one of my childhood favorites. So, when I became a mom, I wanted to do the same. If my kiddos wanted to be something, I would do everything in my power to make it awesome. As it turns out, my oldest son has always challenged me. As soon as he was old enough to choose what he wanted to be for Halloween, he chose a laundry basket. Yes, a laundry basket… I assumed after that Halloween, maybe he would be something a little less… well, bulky or laundry related. Boy was I wrong. The next year he wanted to be a washing machine. All these choices might lead you to believe my eldest is a neat freak, or at least kinda neat.. Nope. If there’s anything I’ve learned from boys, they’re the opposite of neat and orderly. Yep. A washing machine. As a grown up, I can’t even imagine trick or treating in this costume. Here are a few other costumes I’ve whipped up.
So this year, I was pretty excited. My 3 year old is finally old enough to make a choice on what he would like to dress up as. He has been very persistent and wanting to be a pumpkin. Seriously, a pumpkin?! Someone needs to tell this child I like a challenge!!
How do you celebrate Halloween? Do you decorate yourself? Your family? Your house? I love hearing about Halloween. Let me hear it!

I love reading blogs. I think people who have blogs are simply wonderful. I’ve never imagined writing one. I read recently that most small business owners should have a blog, as should most parents. Especially those who stay at home all day with their kids. As it happens, I fall into all those categories. My husband and I have a small business that we run from home, and I stay at home with the kiddos. I can’t promise I will post awesome things all the time. But I feel like I might have some good things to say every once and a while. If all else fails, I see lots of awesome DIY’s, awesome crafty things you can buy, and I have boys.
Thanks for reading this far. Please check back regularly for more posts.
